What is better on a cold winter night when the snow should be gone, it isn’t, and they are calling for more? Saturday morning, I threw together one of my favorite meals, extremely simple and delicious. My First tip is to buy the premade pot roast kit that your local grocery store sells. I got mine at Walmart, and all I really had to do with it was chop the vegetables that came with it, add some more celery, and use a cup of beef broth made better than bouillon roasted beef bouillon, plus an additional cup of water, some Worcestershire sauce, and preminced garlic or jarlic as I like to call it.

I love the premade kit for its convenience and ease. Instead of having to buy all the ingredients and then having leftover vegetables because you didn’t need that many carrots or celery or potatoes, it has the exact amount. Now I did quarter the vegetables because it just makes serving and eating easier, and the vegetables cook at a similar pace, so you don’t get soft carrots and a crunchy potato. I do recommend buying pre-minced garlic for all my savory recipes. It doesn’t have to be the Spice World brand; you can get store brand, but it just makes prep so much easier.
